Eating Disorder Initial Assessments
The first step to access our Eating Disorder Service is to have an initial assessment with either a senior clinician or a Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist.
Clinician Led Initial Assessment
This is a 90 minute appointment that includes taking a comprehensive social, psychological and medical history in order to gain a full understanding of the development of an Eating Disorder, and to create immediate recommendations and an ongoing treatment plan. This assessment is led by one of our experienced clinicians, you will not receive a formal diagnosis.
This appointment can be accessed by individuals who are experiencing restrictive eating, compensatory behaviours around eating and binge eating. After booking we will contact you to discuss risk and ensure that this is the right appointment type for you. Depending on risk it may be suggested that you will need to see a Consultant Psychiatrist for an assessment to access the service or we may recommend other specialist services that suit your current clinical needs better.
These appointments take place at our Ridgway Mews clinic.
